SUPPORT GROUPS
THE PEER-2-PEER PROJECT
1
MENTORSHIP TRAINING
Meet other adults living with CP and talk about issues you face in adulthood. Learn more about ways to support adolescents with CP. Learn more about ways to stay healthy with CP
2
You can learn from each other in the process of transitioning to adulthood with CP. Come together online and in person to talk about what works and what does not work. Why invent the wheel if you can learn what worked before? Most of our meetings are online so we save the trouble of driving and getting stuck in traffic.

PEER-2-PEER
LEARN MORE
We are planning regular online support group meetings solely based on your feedback and needs. You can meet with other young adults your age and talk about your plans for the future.
ASK A THERAPIST;
Have you got a question for a physical therapist or occupational therapist? Post a question on the forum and you will get an answer.
TALK TO A MENTOR:
Talk to your mentor using Skype or Facetime and you can be face to face with a person who knows what you are going through. Mentors are all volunteers and it can take some time to schedule a call.
SAFETY PLANNING
In San Francisco, you should always be prepared for an earthquake. Notify the local fire department, and register as an adult with special needs in case of an emergency. After a natural disaster, the fire department will look for you first if you are on the list. This List is used by the Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT)
3
Supporting a teenager or young adult during the transition to adulthood can be hard. Meet other parents and find what worked for them. Meet online for convenience and create your own community.
